Neue Leitung für das Dansens Hus

Im August 2018 wird Samme Raeymaekers das Dansens Hus als künstlerischer Direktor übernehmen und löst damit Un-Magritt Nordseth ab, die das Haus acht Jahre lang geleitet hat. Seit 2006 gestaltet Raeymaekers das Tanz-Programm im Concertgebouw in Brügge und steht innerhalb dieser Funktion dem internationalen Tanzfestival December Dance als künstlerischer Leiter vor. Neben seiner Tätigkeit am Concertgebouw ist er ebenfalls für das Tanzprogramm des Cultural Centre Bruges, und damit jährlich für rund 35 Tanzveranstaltungen der Stadt verantwortlich.

Nun freut er sich auf sein neues Amt und würde am liebsten gleich anfangen: „I’m looking forward to consolidate and shape the future of one of Europe's most beautiful dance houses: a warm house of and for national and international dance makers. Various experiences from my Bruges context, such as the quality and the curational approach of the dance program, the search for synergies in partnerships, audience development and my international perspective and network, will support me in my new assignment as Director of Dance House. I’m also looking forward to get to know and collaborate with the Norwegian dance field! The desire to share my passion and devotion for (inter-)national dance with Oslo and Norway makes me want to get started right away.“
