„Kampung Baru (New village)“ by Raymond Liew Jin Pin as a video-stream

Hamburg-based Malaysian choreographer Raymond Liew Jin Pin revised and deconstructed his autobiographic experience and body archive in traditional dance by delegating it to the bodies of contemporary dancers. He creates a new village on the stage – a space where traditional becomes new, while new might look old.

Apart from five performers the common voice they create becomes the sixth body on the stage.

This sound- and choreography-based work is inspired by the former field station Teufelsberg and brings recognizable atmospheric translation to the power of spy-technologies and its relation to fragile human physicality on stage.

“Bare Bodies – Bodies & States of Exception” by Ursina Tossi at Kampnagel

Naked bodies referred to Matisse “Dance”, Roman bas-reliefs or “Laocoön” and at the same time to the glitched objects from 3D-printer. That could be the beginning of the “Space Odyssey” or the end of it.
